adria + bryan | Houston, Texas

Adria and Bryan. I'm so very glad I got to know these two and so glad I was able to be part of their big day. It was an awesome day! Adria and Bryan's wedding was a perfect reflection of them. It was classy, tasteful, and refined. I just love Adria and Bryan. My favorite thing about them is how infatuated they are with each other. They never stopped staring at each other, flirting with each other, and enjoying each other. Adria and Bryan were married at Trinity Episcopal Church in Midtown in Houston with the reception at La Colombe D' Or. We also got to stop by their great apartment in midtown for a moment on the way to the reception. I encourage everyone to take time to enjoy each other on their wedding day. It's so easy to get busy and caught up in everything that happens and miss out on the best part of the day-your new spouse! Adria and Bryan were the perfect example of a couple that made a priority of each other throughout the day. It was awesome and I felt lucky to be there!! Thank you Adria and Bryan!!

lauren + holton | palo duro canyon wedding

I pray about every wedding we take and I feel fine saying that. Someone told me one time not to talk about my personal belief system as it relates to our business. What I pray is that we would do the best job we possibly can, that the couple would have the best day of their lives, and that we would build relationships with the people we have the pleasure of meeting. We talked with Lauren and Holton early on and were really bummed that we weren’t going to be able to help out with their wedding. Bonnie and I both know and love Lauren and her family. They are precious. One of the hardest things about being a wedding photographer is that you don’t get to be at more than one place at a time. That means that you have to send a bunch of bummer e-mails when you’re booked. So it was a little crazy when we had a couple decide to postpone their wedding some months before Lauren and Holton’s wedding which opened up their weekend. On top of that, Lauren and Holton's photographer let them know they weren't going to be able to do it because of an unavoidable circumstance. Their wedding day was incredible and one I was so happy to be there for. I got emotional a several times, of course, and came away from their wedding knowing that we were supposed to be there. It was very simple, tasteful, energetic, and genuine. Holton is awesome. I met him the day of the wedding, which is very unusual for me. What I loved about Holton is that he truly experienced the day. He didn’t hold anything back and it is so obvious how much he loves Lauren. He is an awesome and inspiring guy. Lauren is so sweet, genuine, and caring. She spent her entire wedding day in an outward focus toward her family, Holton, and friends. She has such great style too, right? She did her own flowers, conveniently her profession in Nashville, and most of the decor. It always amazes me when people do that. Look through the blog post and see if you don’t fall in love with Lauren and Holton! They are wonderful people and I felt totally lucky to be a part of it all!
